Advocating for Waiting Children around the World
Project HOPEFUL NFP in Joliet, IL by Deb Steiner
Project HOPEFUL NFP is seeking to raise awareness about the plight of waiting children around the world. These children have HIV or Down Syndrome or Cerebal Palsy or are simply older than the most coveted child. We hope to change the tide of adoption toward children with special needs, sibling groups and older children to help the most needy among us.
Project HOPEFUL serves potential adoptive families, waiting children, birth mothers around the world, and others interested in education about HIV.
Over 300 families have brought home children with HIV/AIDS with Project HOPEFUL's assistance or guidance. Many more families are in the process of adopting children today.
