Educating Oaxaca's Children in Need

In Oaxaca we operate El Centro de Esperanza Infantil (the Center for Children’s Hope). Our center is full service operating six days per week providing nutritious meals, a safe environment, tutoring, medical care, a computer lab, classes and much more. Child sponsorships and donations allow us to operate the center and provide all assistance necessary for children to attend public school including obtaining birth certificates, paying school inscription fees, providing uniforms and other support.
We serve street children in Oaxaca City Mexico who are the poorest of the poor.
Extraordinary- since the inception of our program in 1998 more than 600 participating children have graduated from school including multiple university graduates.
Our mission is to remove the barriers that keep Oaxaca’s poorest children from receiving an education.
The need for our program in Oaxaca City Mexico has never been greater. Grant funding will allow us to accept children in to the program who are currently on a waiting list due to lack of funding.
