Training a village to better care for our children
For Children’s Sake of Virginia in Chantilly, VA by Heather Zakrzewski
The project would allow our agency to attract and pay for needed additional training to better work with community families, foster families, biological families and foster children in our care. Better training for parents results in stable homes for children.
We serve children from infancy to 21 years old with specific behavioral or medical needs.
We served 36 children in 2011 and of those children, 29 were returned home to biological parents or adopted and 15 remained in care where we continued to work on getting them returned home or adopted as well.
