Cultivate is part of the movement for “connected capitalism” — we believe that a company should exist not just to make a profit, but also to make a positive difference in the world. As part of that mission, Cultivate gives (at least) 10% of sales to non-profits supporting education and basic human needs. We will be giving away $100,000/quarter right here on the site via a submission and voting process.
How it Works

Causes are submitted by non-profits through our website.
A. If you work for a non-profit, you can submit a cause via the “Submit a Cause” page by explaining what your organization does and what you will use the money for.
B. Along with the form, a short video is required as part of the pitch for why your project should receive funding.
C. We’ll review the submissions to see that they meet eligibility requirements. A primary eligibility standard is that the money is going to fund a tangible project– for more on eligibility, please see the FAQ page and read the Terms & Conditions.
D. Of the eligible applications, we’ll hand-pick 15 submissions and select another 15 at random and post them to the voting page.
Anyone can vote on our website for which causes they think should be funded.
A. On the voting page, you will see the videos and information for 30 causes.
B. Sign in and you can then vote once per day.
C. Feel passionately that the cause(s) you voted for should win? Be their champion by clicking the buttons to share it with friends via Facebook, Twitter, or email.
We fund the top-voted for causes and show you who won.
A. At the end of the month, we’ll give money to the 6 most voted-for causes. The top most voted-for will receive $50,000, and the next 5 runners-up will each receive $10,000.
B. If you’re a winner, you’ll send back photos and video of your completed project when it’s done. We’ll then post that content the map above, so that everyone gets to see where the money went.
C. We’ll also write about the completed projects on the blog so you can be aware of when new winners are posted to the map.
You help us decide where the money should go by either submitting a cause, voting for the causes you care about, or both!
