About our cause

Our Crossroads Village Club and Workforce Development Center is a unique program which helps teens focus on the importance of school, and prepares them to enter the workforce. It includes classes and workshops which focus on career exploration, job readiness and financial literacy. It also includes field trips to local businesses for a "behind the scenes" look at what it takes to make a business work, as well as "shadowing" opportunities for teens to have a "hands-on" learning experience.

What population we serve?

We serve all youth ages 6-18 in fifteen facilities located in Newport News, Hampton, Williamsburg, and the counties of York, Gloucester, and Mathews.

What success we've already had

We have a record of excellence in successfully implementing youth development programs since 1946. Our proof of success is in our alumni. We have countless stories of young people who have overcome challenges and become successful community leaders. Many past alumni are now serving as Board members, giving back to ensure Club programs continue.

Our primary mission
Our mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as responsible, caring and productive citizens.
Why should you support our cause

Our community needs young people who are ready to enter the workforce successfully, and our program benefits teens, as well as the business community.

How the money will be spent

Funds awarded for this program would be spent on staff costs for the youth development professionals who coordinate and implement the career exploration and job readiness programs, as well as transportation costs for field trips and shadowing opportunities, program supplies, and facility costs.
