About our cause

Roses for Autism grew from a father’s dream of a successful future for his son. Started in 2009, we are dedicated to growing independence in the business world for people with autism. Through our training program we prepare students and adults for employment through training and real life experiences in an integrated setting; creating opportunities and eliminating isolation.

What population we serve?

We serve individuals, school aged through adulthood, with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

What success we've already had

25 participants completed evaluations, 9 of them continued in the program gaining agricultural job skills & work experience. 8 people secured employment; greenhouse, e-marketing, packing room & driver.Recognized as 2011 Business of the Year by the Connecticut General Legislature and Autism Advocates. 43% of staff have ASD.

Our primary mission
Our mission is to grow independence in the business world through a specialized Autism training and employment program at our rose farm that teaches transferable skills leading to successful employment at other businesses in the community.

How the money will be spent

All proceeds from rose sales and other income is reinvested back into Roses for Autism in order to serve more people in the vocational training and employment program. Every dollar makes a difference. Roses for Autism is teaching transferable skills that lead to successful employment.
