Bring Peace to Conflict-Affected Communities

MAG America in Washington, DC by Caitlin Hinton

About our cause

In over 70 countries, landmines and other dangerous weapons left behind after conflict still threaten innocent civilians. Peace is not won with a ceasefire or after armies have moved on -- peace can only be achieved when communities no longer live in fear. By clearing land of landmines that lie in wait for their next victim, MAG is creating safe and productive futures. Once land is free from danger, communities can grow food, farm their land, open schools, and build roads.

What population we serve?

Conflict-affected communities in 15 countries in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia

What success we've already had

Because of MAG's work, over 2 billion square meters have been cleared of weapons and returned to the communities that need it for farming, basic infrastructure, and access to water. Without these efforts, these communities would be unable to fully recover from wars and conflicts that sometimes occurred over fifty years ago.

Our primary mission
MAG (Mines Advisory Group) saves and improves lives by reducing the devastating effects armed violence and remnants of conflict have on people around the world.
Why should you support our cause

Remove a weapon and save a life.

How the money will be spent

A gift from Cultivate Wines would support deminers in the field, allowing them to clear more land and affect more victims. MAG can purchase metal detectors, protective gear, and vehicles that will allow us to expand our work. This gift could help over 500 people live in safety and begin recovery.
