About our cause

CDI will be participating in the creation of a 21 acre organic farm and resource center that will provide lots of healthy, organic and sustainably produced food as well as serve as a local resource center for educational programs and projects. The farm will be located in Virginia Beach, VA where currently the availability of fresh, local organic food is lacking. As well locals have no access to gain knowledge and awareness of the inherent issues or local food systems and organic sustainable food

What population we serve?

Local communities in New York City, Virginia Beach, VA and throughout Haiti.

What success we've already had

CDI has implemented and completed many successful projects and programs such as the creation of an organic community garden in New York City, educational programs such as being a featured presenter at Brooklyn Children's Museum's Earth Day celebration, the creation of a much needed public latrine in Haiti where cholera was devastating the country.

Our primary mission
CDI aims to build strong and sustainable urban and rural communities in both the worst off developing countries throughout the world and locally through educational, environmental, health, agricultural and eco-enterprise projects and programs.
Why should you support our cause

Help create a new, large scale, working and educational organic and sustainable farm and resource center for people to obtain healthy food and learn!

How the money will be spent

Development of the 21 acres of land including creating buffer zones by USDA guidelines to surrounding non-organic farms, amending the soil to create ideal growing conditions, purchasing of equipment and materials, stipends for interns, developing educational programs for the public on the farm, etc.
