Wheelchair Lift to Bring Children to New Heights

School of Imagination in Dublin, CA by Mitch Sigman

About our cause

We have children with physical disabilities who require access to our second floor. Parents have to either carry the children upstairs, or the children struggle to climb the stairs themselves. We need to install an enclosed wheelchair lift for our physically disabled children. The lift would allow these children to have the proper therapy services that they need without the struggle of climbing our stairs.

What population we serve?

We provide services to children of all socio-economic and cultural backgrounds with disabilities including Autism, Cerebral Palsy, and Down Syndrome.

What success we've already had

SOI has provided critical services to more than 3000 children with special needs. Many children have beat their diagnoses going on to be mainstreamed into schools and live full, productive lives.

Our primary mission
The School of Imagination (SOI) brings out the extraordinary in special needs children through speech, behaviorial, and occupational therapy. SOI does not turn away any family in need.
Why should you support our cause

This wheelchair lift empowers our disabled children to access all of the services that the School of Imagination facility offers, without limitations.

How the money will be spent

The Cultivate Wine gift would go towards the engineering, design, purchase and installation of this wheelchair lift. Project and site management will be provided by volunteers.
