Tasting or Drinking? Now that is the question.

Q: What do you do for a living?
A: I taste wine.
Q: That’s your job? You get paid to drink?
A: No, I get paid to taste.
Q: What’s the difference? How do I get that job?
A: Well, it’s a fine line.  Just ask this guy!

And so it follows that when and wherever I meet new people that I feel a bit uneasy trying to explain precisely what it is I do. So what IS the difference between tasting and drinking? Well the short answer is a spit bucket. The long answer is coming up over my next few posts. Stay tuned!
