Here is how the contest worked. Users posted the official contest image to Twitter or Instagram and hashtagged #cultivategives along with the non-profit they wanted to support. We donated $1 for each post a non-profit received.

Whole Planet Foundation is a Whole Foods Market foundation that funds poverty alleviation worldwide where the company sources products. The nonprofit’s mission is to empower the poor living in developing-world communities with microcredit and the chance to create or expand a home-based business and lift themselves and their families out of poverty.

Safe Water International

Safe Water International’s mission is to create effective, community-based safe drinking water systems in rural communities which utilize the marketplace to address those most in need of safe drinking water based upon the involvement, training, and initiative of local communities to promote health, wellbeing, and sustainable economic development.

Not For Sale

Not For Sale fights modern-day slavery around the world using business creation, and aftercare aid. By creating enterprise opportunities for vulnerable communities, and offering social services to survivors and those at-risk to human trafficking, Not For Sale works to ensure that no one is for sale.

Reece’s Rainbow

Reece’s Rainbow is a voice of hope for orphans with Down syndrome and other special needs around the world. Through the availability of adoption grants specifically for disabled children, more than 1200+ children are “orphans no more” as a result of our life-saving advocacy and fundraising!

Sole Hope

Offering hope, healthier lives, and freedom from foot-related diseases through education, jobs, and medical relief in Uganda. We put in place preventive methods to combat diseases that enter through the feet and to create a positive physical and spiritual difference in the lives of individuals in impoverished communities.


Lelt Foundation

The Lelt Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization that assists severely impoverished and malnourished women and children in Kara Kore, Ethiopia through a combination of programs in education, nutrition, food security, orphan care, trauma counseling, micro-finance and job creation for participating families.

The Uplifting Project

The Uplifting Project is a nonprofit organization created in order to empower people living in underserved and impoverished communities in Tanzania. We aim to build sustainable schools and provide resources to these communities that will be used to provide opportunities that would otherwise not be available.

imba means sing

Imba Means Sing is a documentary following the journey of 20 children from the slums of Uganda who perform as the Grammy-nominated African Children’s Choir. The film highlights the issue of the global education crisis and explores it through the themes of the power of music and dignity across cultures.

Camp Sunshine

Camp Sunshine is the only program of its kind in the United States: it focuses not only on children with life-threatening illnesses, but their family as well. Family retreats on the lakeside campus include recreation, 24-hour onsite medical support, psychosocial programming, and the opportunity to meet other families in similar situations.

Project Hopeful

Educating, encouraging, and enabling families and individuals to advocate for and adopt children with HIV/AIDS and other of the most overlooked children for adoption. Our in-country programs focus on family preservation and orphan elimination.

Storyteller Children’s Center

Storyteller Children’s Center provides quality, tuition-free early childhood education for homeless and at-risk children in Santa Barbara County, as well as comprehensive support services for their families.

Autism Speaks of Missouri

At Autism Speaks, our goal is to change the future for all who struggle with autism spectrum disorders through advocacy, research, awareness, and family services. We serve the Southern Missouri area.

Meals on Wheels San Francisco

Our network of drivers, social workers, nutritionists, community partners, volunteers, donors and advocates are a formidable force against senior neglect and malnutrition.
